Alan Hutton Associates is a professional and independent Structural Engineering Consultancy.

The aim is to provide a comprehensive service to the Building and Civil Engineering Industries, giving the highest possible standards of service to our clients. Emphasis is placed on personal service, prompt response and the importance of close liaison with clients to establish and implement their priorities and to provide sound, practical and economic solutions.

The Practice is able to offer a wide range of services utilising the variety of experience of its personnel gained during the many years of practice with well established UK and International Consulting Engineers.

Practice History

The practice was established in April 1998 and up until November 1999 traded as MTM Consulting (Surrey) Ltd based in Caterham. The practice is no longer part of the group and is now under the direction of Alan Hutton. It currently operates from Cowfold in Sussex and still has links with George Mah.

As the practice grew, Bruce Tauton joined in December 1998 to be rewarded with Associateship in April 2000. He subsequently became a full director and shareholder in April 2002. The practice has continued to grow to the team and support staff above and looks forward to continued success.
